Frequently Asked Questions

  • Although we are not taking insurance, we can offer a superbill (an itemized list of services provided to a client) at your request to possibly receive reimbursement from your health insurance.

  • Depending on your child’s needs, we require a table, a yoga mat, motivating toys (or screens) and appropriate footwear. After you fill out the intake forms, we can provide more details about what you will need.

  • We are currently serving families in Union, Essex and parts of Morris County in NJ. If you are outside of our current travel range we would be happy to discuss options, please contact us directly!

  • Yes, and not only do we need them present, we need them fully engaged and supporting us for both safety and effectiveness of therapy. Prior to starting your intensive, we will review caregiver expectations.

  • Following the evaluation, we will determine whether there is a need for both of us or only one of us to provide therapy. This will be dependent on the child’s size, level of function and safety concerns. However, we ALWAYS give the family an option to request both therapists if we are available!

  • There are no age restrictions; weight limitations will be dependent on your child’s functional level.

  • No! Intensive therapy programs can help any and all children who may need it. Aliza and Nicole look at the child as an individual and meet them where they are at. Our therapy is not guided by a specific diagnosis, it is guided by whatever the families goals are and how we can best support both motor and functional progress.

  • This is dependent on the duration of the intensive and whether we provide 1:1 or 2:1 therapy. Please contact us directly for our pricing information for intensives and weekly sessions.

  • We use an intensive model of therapy. An intensive model of therapy is a way of delivering therapy in a “high dose” format over a shorter period of time. It’s typically used for children presenting with neurological disorders, but can be beneficial for a variety of developmental delays (e.g. delayed crawling, delayed walking, difficulty manipulating toys). This format yields incredible results and can lead to changes/improvements in a few short weeks that may otherwise take an entire year with “traditional” weekly therapy sessions.

  • We are an OT and PT team who are both certified in DMI Therapy. DMI therapy is a modality used by both professions therefore the services will be the same. We each have our respective backgrounds and experience and work as a team to create the most cohesive therapy experience.

  • We are only offering intensives and consultation sessions at the moment. We hope to increase our capacity to accomodate weekly sessions in the near future!

  • Three week intensive progams will yield optimal results by building neuroplasticity through increased repetition of novel and dynamic movements, however, we will always work with the family regarding what is most feasible based on their availability and financial limitations.
